This beginner-friendly workshop is designed to help you build a strong foundation in Brazilian samba in a fun, supportive, and high-energy environment.

You'll train the fundamentals of samba no pé, develop proper technique, improve coordination and rhythm, and learn the essential movements that every samba dancer should know. Whether you're stepping into your first class or looking to strengthen your basics, this workshop will give you the skills and confidence to keep growing as a samba dancer.

  • Samba Drills 101 is a technique-based training opportunity designed to help dancers build stronger samba fundamentals through focused repetition and movement drills.

This class emphasizes repetitive practice of essential samba no pé steps, footwork, rhythm, coordination, balance, posture, and body control to develop muscle memory and improve overall technique. By breaking movements down and drilling them consistently, dancers gain the confidence, precision, and endurance needed to execute samba with greater ease and style.

Perfect for beginners looking to strengthen their foundation, as well as dancers who want to refine their technique through purposeful, repetitive training.

  • These workshops are designed for dancers who already have a solid Samba foundation and are ready to build on their skills.

Students should be comfortable performing Samba no pé (in place and traveling), maintaining consistent timing in 2/4 rhythm, executing basic turns with balance, and demonstrating controlled bounce and hip action. You should be able to dance through a full song without stopping, transition smoothly between steps, and show confidence in your movement. This is not a beginner event, participants are expected to have prior Samba training and a clear understanding of fundamental technique.

This high-energy experience blends essential Samba technique with dynamic step sequences that flow effortlessly to the music. Perfect for dancers looking to refine their style, boost their confidence, and have fun with playful patterns.

  • A high-energy training experience designed to support dancers in a flexible and inclusive environment.

This boootcamp style samba class is geared to help dancers build confidence, stamina, and authentic Brazilian samba technique. Whether you're new to samba, looking to refine your skills, or seeking focused training, this workshop emphasizes the essential footwork, body movement, and musicality that make Samba no Pé so powerful and expressive.

  • The SOAS (Samba On A Sunday) Choreography Class is a training experience designed for beginner and beginner/intermediate samba dancers who want to participate in our Intermediate+ Samba On A Sunday professional studio sessions  but are still developing a strong technical foundation in samba or dance. This class provides the opportunity to build essential skills while experiencing Patricia Love's signature choreography and movement style in a supportive learning environment.

Samba "In"Fusion is a samba-inspired choreography pop-up class for dancers looking to elevate their performance quality, musicality, style, and choreography retention.

VOICES FROM THE STUDIO

"Taking this samba class has truly been one of the best decisions I’ve made! The instructor creates such a positive and welcoming atmosphere she’s always smiling and makes everyone feel comfortable, no matter their level. What I love most is that this class is for everyone. Whether you’re a beginner or someone with more experience, you’ll feel included and challenged in the best way. For me, it was the challenge I needed! The class helped me feel grounded and more connected to my body, especially learning how to move confidently on my feet. I also really appreciate that she takes the time to teach us the names of the steps and explains where they come from, which makes the experience richer and more meaningful. It’s not just about dancing it's about understanding the culture and history too. We get to engage with others, ask questions openly, and support each other while enjoying the music and energy of samba. Doing lines across the floor and watching others practice the moves was both inspiring and a great way to learn. If you’re thinking about taking samba, I highly recommend this class! You’ll leave feeling energized, empowered, and part of a community."

"Samba on a Sunday was fantastic. The teaching was detailed and thorough and Patricia created a safe space for everyone to learn. The energy was electric and lifted my spirits."

- KEMI

"First samba class! I did not know what to expect, so I went with an open mind. It turned out to be a really good experience!

I recommend Samba With Love Drills 101 100% for beginners. Patricia is such a great instructor and super talented !!! Be ready to sweat !!"

- MEYDGE

"I loved the energy of the class and classmates, and i loved being challenged. I also love Patricia's fresh take on samba fusion, and the use of different genres of compatible movement and music, because to be honest not everyone can connect to traditional samba music. I enjoyed the across the floor variations in the first class, and also how Patricia slowly got us used to filming in the second class. And I also really appreciate Patricia taking time to know her students and their names before they show up, it helps people feel seen, and not like they're just another student."

- CANEY

"I had an incredible time dancing in Patricia’s class! Her energy, patience, and pure talent made each moment truly unforgettable. I felt so welcomed and inspired; it was the perfect vibe to try something new. Samba Sundays are officially my happy place, and I can’t wait to be back!"

- KARLA

"I went to the very first class... I believe it was a drill class... and it was very exciting. Now I am a person who needs to practice choreo at home after learning it in a session, and then come back with it in my brain/muscle memory; so of course I wasn't an immediate pro like the other amazing girlies. But I thought it was amazing and it really helped to give me a better comprehension about the Afro-Brazilian culture and the beautiful dance that emerged from it. Great class!"
