SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

VitaGlow
Award Recipient
I am beyond honored and deeply humbled to officially announce that I have been named an Award Recipient for the CIBWE Top 100 Black Women to Watch in Canada.

When I launched Samba With Love, my vision was simple: to create an unshakable space in Toronto rooted in technical excellence, authentic movement, and an unwavering commitment to the art of dance. This year marks my 13th year as a professional dance artist, and 10 year anniversary as a dance instructor. Every step, every late-night rehearsal, and every hour spent in the studio has been an investment in mastering my craft and continuously raising my own standard of excellence.

To be recognized on a national stage alongside Canada's most extraordinary trailblazers, visionaries, and changemakers is a milestone I will never take for granted. It is a powerful reminder that genuine dedication, consistency, and excellence always leave a lasting legacy.

For me, success has never been about recognition, it has always been about the work. It is earned through resilience, discipline, integrity, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. Excellence requires no introduction; it is reflected in the lives we impact and the standards we refuse to lower.

To every student who has trusted me as their instructor at Samba With Love thank you. You are the heartbeat of this mission, and it is a privilege to be part of your journey. To my ancestors, thank you for your guidance, your protection, and for walking beside me every step of the way. I carry your strength with me in everything I do.

Thank you to the selection committee for this incredible honor. To my students, supporters, and everyone who has believed in my vision from the very beginning, thank you for continuing to champion excellence. This recognition is not the destination; it is confirmation that purpose, perseverance, and exceptional work will always find their place.

-Imperadores Rubro-Negros President

"I am deeply honoured and grateful to accept this international recognition and invitation to be a Muse for Imperadores Rubro-Negros, and to represent this beautiful community. As a girl who simply fell in love with the beauty, passion, and culture of samba, this recognition means more to me than words can express.
I would like to sincerely thank my mentors and teachers in Brazil, especially my samba teachers, who welcomed me, shared their knowledge, and inspired me to grow both as a dancer and as a person. Your guidance, patience, and belief in me have shaped my journey and made this moment possible.
I would also like to thank the people in my city who have supported my samba workshops, classes, and events. Your encouragement, participation, and belief in what I am building have helped create a growing samba community in Toronto, and I am incredibly grateful for that support.
To my close friends, thank you for standing by me, cheering me on, and sharing both the challenges and celebrations along the way. Your friendship has meant more than you know.
I am excited to represent the spirit of samba, celebrate the cultural connections that bring us together, and continue contributing through community involvement and initiatives that give back. I look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and share the joy, energy, and tradition that make Carnival so special to me.
Muito obrigada!"
